We wanted to do something about the waste associated with single use beverage containers and water being the most universally consumed beverage seemed the place to start...

Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger, comte de Saint-Exupéry was a French writer, poet, aristocrat, journalist, and pioneering aviator said "Perfection is not achieved when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."

This very simple but eloquent statement beautifully encompasses our philosophy from the outset, to provide an alternative that leaves no waste.

With the enthusiastic support of a few early adopters in our home state Tasmania, we set about designing and building prototypes in 2008 and Vestal was immaculately conceived from a background of innovation driven by environmental, social and economic sustainability.

The company founders' search for a suitable brand name stems from the Roman priestesses of Vesta, who unfortunately undertook a vow of chastity, but among their important responsibilities were two ritual tasks; drawing water from a sacred spring and keeping the eternal flame burning.

We have kept our fire burning with the aim of providing our clients the best possible quality and service with achievable financial and environmental results and today Vestal clients include hundreds of Australia's most iconic hospitality venues, businesses and institutions.

Our systems are installed in every state, territory and quite a number of offshore islands. Together with our fantastic clients, we are proud to be making a significant difference to the way in which we leave the planet. Vestal systems currently eliminate the use of  over 4 million single-use water bottles each year.

To expand on the Exupery quote, perfection is far from being achieved, but we and others are getting closer every day to providing solutions to this ongoing problem. Our recent innovations include providing a single system (Vestal Hybrid) to dispense a number of different beverages alongside our already popular sparkling water.

Vestal has provided bottled water alternatives for a number of major events including The Taste of Tasmania,  Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, A Day on The Green and MONA FOMA.
